Sprint (S) VP Bob Azzi says his company's 4G LTE network will be up and running in 6 markets by mid-year, while referring to bigger rivals AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ), who have a solid head-start on Sprint in deploying LTE, as "duopolists." He adds Sprint, which is looking to offer its first LTE devices in 2H, will use Clearwire's (CLWR) spectrum to provide LTE capacity in high-traffic areas.

Seems like Sprint is learning from CRM, AMZN, NFLX finally how to promote shareholder value rather than destroy it with their public relations disasters. Somebody must have finally stuck a sock in Hesse's mouth.

Solid head start on what...4G? Nope, sorry. Sprint has been using the Clearwire WiMax (4G advanced) for a while, way before AT&T and Verizon 4G network. However, because of that. AT&T and Verizon rushed into a 4G network in which they will have problems with in 1 more year. This is why they are struggling to find more Spectrum.

Where as Sprint is doing it the correct way by moving towards a TD-LTE network. This network is designed for Videos where the other boy's are using LDD-LTE which is designed for texting.

However, let me ask you this. Why would anyone on this green earth, buy a cell plan which will not allow them to use the full range of their smart phone? Yes I can hear it now..."they are getting the full range out of it now!" Oh, what happens when they get close to the end of the month and they are about to run out of their so called "unlimited plan"...what then?

When most people come to this they say..."Oh, I only have 6 more days before I can use my cell plan, then I will get more minutes, but until that time, I can use my friends phone to make my call!"

Solid head start...haw, ask the members of AT&T and Verizon how they feel now, about their two year "unlimited data" plan contract now!
