As Research In Motion (RIMM) just maybe opens itself to a sale, the Canadian government may prove as much of a roadblock as the company's crumbling smartphone share. Both national pride - while FM Jim Flaherty says RIM will control its fate, PM Stephen Harper says he hopes RIM will grow as a "Canadian company" - and security concerns could stand in the way of regulatory approval for a buyout.
