Solazyme (SZYM +12.1%) posts a double-digit gain after announcing a joint venture with Bunge Limited (BG -1.1%) to operate a commercial-scale renewable oil facility in Brazil. The new operation will combine Solazyme’s renewable tailored oil production technology with Bunge’s sugarcane supply and processing capabilities to produce sustainable oils for use in chemical and fuel applications in Brazil.
