A Piper survey of 5,600 U.S. teens finds 34% claiming to own an iPhone ... and 40% of those who don't planning to buy one in the next 6 months - an encouraging figure for Apple (AAPL), even if intent and action are different things. On the other hand, while 34% of respondents say they own a tablet, only 19% of non-owners are looking to buy one in the next 6 months. For e-readers, the figures are a mere 17% and 5%. (previously)
