- CBS wasn't the only ratings winner from Sunday; with final numbers in, AMC Networks (NASDAQ:AMCX) scored a runaway hit with its season finale for The Walking Dead, which set a series record for finales.
- The program averaged 15.8M viewers and an 8.2 rating with adults 18-49 (up about 3% compared with a year-ago finale).
- Sunday night put a button on a stellar season for the show, averaging a 7.3 rating in 18-49 and 14.2M viewers (up about 10% Y/Y) and a runaway leader among entertainment series in the demographic.
- Perhaps more important, the pay-TV show is dominating broadcast competition among young adults. The show quadrupled ratings for ABC's Once Upon a Time (1.7 rating) despite AMC's more limited household penetration.
