The Canadian government has ordered a review of whether Target's (TGT) push into Canada would be of net cultural benefit. Similar cases in the past have been solved by the company agreeing to include a minimum amount of Canadian cultural material (DVDs, books, etc.) in its stores.

Someone please explain the liberal, progressive, communistic logic behind providing a net cultural benefit to opening a retail store.

Their "logic" boils down to: we get to decide everything about every aspect of every person's life. Period.

Canada has a huge Napolean complex; I work with a bunch of their military. They are always on the defensive (personally) about Canada and trying to prove themselves.

They (their military) are very, very competent but the small pecker complex gets tiring.

This cultural inclusion thing looks like another manifestation of the same.
