Nothing new about that. Petrohawk got nabbed (at a premium - bad call BHP), RRC and SWN will be history by the time natural gas gets back to $4.

if swn walks away from the rumored $42 price from chevron, they will have a shareholder revolt considering the stock performance of recent. nat. gas is going lower and they are going to have additional cash requirements to develop unproven plays. there is still downside particularly if the plays are a disappointment. " just say yes to chevron
    or connoco"

market doesn't seem to believe in the "rumor." What's the source?

Rumor was bull to allow someone to sell. I expect the current rally to end badly and the downtrend to resume. SWN assets are really worth maybe $12-$18/share as an option on future higher gas prices (worth nothing if low gas prices were to somehow remain).
