Futures point to small opening bounce

  • Dow and S&P 500 futures are ahead by 0.2%, and Nasdaq futures are up just marginally after yesterday's rough session. Meanwhile earnings reports continue to pour in, Shanghai dipped another 1.6% overnight, the major global bond selloff is taking a breather, and oil continues to surge, up another $1.37 per barrel to $61.77.
  • Europe's posting modest gains in midday action.
  • The 10-year Treasury yield is up just two basis points to 2.21%, and yields are relatively calm across the pond after yesterday's panic selling in sovereign debt.
