Electronic Arts' (EA) rumored layoffs aren't a big deal, suggests Tricia Duryee, after talking with the company and sources. The layoffs will reportedly be around 500 and stem from the reallocation of resources following the Q4 launches of Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Moreover, EA says it's hiring in other areas, and expects headcount to be up at year's end.
