AOL is one of the first big online outlets to revamp its ad-selling approach, as it begins offering advertisers the ability to buy online video ads with the same formula used to purchase TV ad time. Advertisers say that having a similar measurement for both online video ads and television will make it easier for them to shift spending from TV to online video.
