Sherwell becomes CIO at Cablevision, leaving Office Depot

• Keith Sherwell has become chief information officer at Cablevision (NYSE:CVC) and left his post as CIO of Office Depot's (NYSE:ODP) international unit after just nine months.
• Before Sherwell joined Office Depot in September, he was CIO at Sears.
• At Office Depot, Sherwell oversaw technology integration in Europe between his firm and OfficeMax, and before that advised OfficeMax's board during its merger disucssions with Office Depot.
• The Cablevision job is a new post that spans divisions.
