Oppenheimer thinks datapoints provided by IBM and Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) related to the latter's Romley server CPU launch bode well for Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO). Intel mentioned on its earnings call Romley shipments are twice those of the prior-gen Nehalem architecture at a similar point in time, and the decline seen in IBM's Q1 server sales indicates to Oppenheimer there's a lot of pent-up Romley demand, which it expects will boost sales of Cisco's 10G Ethernet switches.
