Penn National Gaming (PENN +5.5%) rides a solid earnings beat higher, helped in part by a mild winter that drove customers off their couches and to Penn's properties. The gaming concern ups its guidance for FY2012, now seeing EPS falling in at $2.48 comparing favorably to a prior estimate of $2.22 and the $2.27 consensus mark of analysts. Shares etched out a 52-week high before falling back a tad.
