- Fox (FOX, FOXA) is continuing to pace to records with its broadcasts of the Women's World Cup, with its coverage of the USA-Germany game drawing 8.4M viewers.
- That beats the 5.7M viewers the network got for the USA-China quarterfinal last week, and makes it the third-most watched women's soccer match ever, behind two final matches: USA-China in 1999 (17.9M viewers), and Japan-USA in 2011 (13.4M). It's also the most-watched seminfinal match ever, men's or women's.
- All of which sets up nicely for the coming Sunday's final -- a rematch between Japan and the U.S., which has all the hallmarks of challenging the top two.
- OTT service FOX Sports Go also logged a record, with 166K unique streaming viewers for the match.
