The stock had a modest gap up today on earnings, opening at $9.76, but then closed below the open at $9.64 (up 30 cents). Resistance levels are at $10 (the high today was $9.96) and then $11.25.

Overall the market, including the energy services stocks such as SLB, is looking stronger (NASDAQ gapped up today), so we'll see if RES participates in the uptrend and by how much.

Natural gas prices have no immediate prospect of rising significantly, so that segment of RES's servicing business will have a hard time picking up for a while longer.

    Just my opinion.

I'm selling covered calls on my RES shares - one strike out of the money with 2-3 month expiration -to collect a little income while waiting for the stock to recover to 15 (equivalent to its pre-split high around 25).
