- Warner Bros. (NYSE:TWX) has saved a premium slot for Steven Spielberg's next science fiction picture, Ready Player One.
- The film -- based on the Ernest Cline novel about a virtual-reality universe -- is set for Dec. 15, 2017, primed for the Christmas (and awards) season.
- “Any film from Steven Spielberg is an event film, so it felt right to date this thrilling new project from one of our greatest filmmakers for the holiday season,” says Warner's Dan Fellman.
- Warner is distributing, and producing along with Amblin Entertainment, DreamWorks, and Village Roadshow.
