Groupon lays off 39 workers at fashion flash sales site

• A Department of Labor filing shows Groupon (GRPN -0.6%) has laid off 39 workers at its Ideel fashion/apparel flash sales site. Sources tell Re/code the job cuts cover at least 20% of Ideel's staff.
• Groupon bought Ideel in early 2014 for $43M in cash. Peers such as Gilt and Zulily have also had a rough time.
• Earlier this week, Re/code reported Groupon had laid off about 20 of the 80-100 workers at its Breadcrumb restaurant software unit, albeit while deciding to keep the business.
