- GoPro (NASDAQ:GPRO) has updated its camera software and mobile apps to include a feature (called Trim + Share) that lets users quickly create 5, 10, or 30-second clips from recorded videos, and save them for YouTube or social sharing.
- The feature is available on the HERO4 Silver and HERO+ LCD cameras, and also the HERO4 Black when used with the LCD BacPac accessory. CEO Nicholas Woodman, who has argued GoPro is an entertainment company that uses content to drive camera sales, has been promising simpler/easier-to-use tools for creating and uploading Web-friendly video clips for a while.
