Lockheed to develop mid-range cruise missile for F-35

• Lockheed Martin (LMT -0.7%) and Turkey's Roketsan have signed a contract to cooperatively develop the SOM-J (a new generation air-to-surface standoff cruise missile) for integration into the F-35 internal weapons bay.
• The contract will enable the companies to move forward with their Technical Assistance Agreement, making the SOM-J missile available to international customers.
