As integrated processors from Intel and AMD increasingly threaten its low-end graphics processor sales, Nvidia (NVDA) is boosting its efforts to cater to high-end enthusiasts. The latest example is the GeForce GTX 690 card: featuring 2 processors based on Nvidia's 28nm Kepler architecture, the 690 is expected to retail for $999, easily more than what the average desktop costs.
