• Chastising AIG management for showing no sense of urgency to do what Congress, regulators, and investors (by his thinking) want - break up the company - Carl Icahn urges the company to immediately pursue tax-free separations of both its life and mortgage insurance subsidiaries to create three independent publicly-traded firms, as well as embark on a cost-control program.
