Old Dominion Freight Line increases rates

• Old Dominion Freight Line (NASDAQ:ODFL +1.1%) announces a general rate increase of 4.9%.
• The company will also set a new ODL 550 base tariff to account for the loss of a fuel surcharge when diesel prices average below $3.00 per gallon.
• The rate increases are aimed to help offset some higher wage costs, as well as new equipment and technology expenses.
