- Christina Quarles, OpenTable's CFO since May and once in charge of Disney's mobile and social gaming ops, has been named OpenTable's CEO. She had already been serving as interim CEO since September, when Matt Roberts (OpenTable's CEO starting in 2011) stepped down and became the restaurant booking service provider's chairman.
- Quarles will report to Priceline (PCLN) CEO Darren Huston. The company will now look to hire a new OpenTable CFO.
- Priceline paid $2.6B to acquire OpenTable last year, and has since folded Australian restaurant management software firm AS Digital into the business. On the Q3 earnings call (transcript), the company declared "the pace of innovation needs to be improved" within OpenTable, while adding strong diner growth is still being seen.
