YouTube (GOOG) is committing $200M in marketing support via its site and Google's display ad network for the 100 premium channels it has already provided $100M in funding for. Though YouTube doesn't expect its efforts, part of a broader push to increase its professional offerings, to produce a full TV alternative, it does see the content delivering higher ad rates and further boosting its monthly usage growth. Demand Media (DMD) is among YouTube's partners.
