A discouraging forecast from Corinthian Colleges cuts a wide swath of losses through the education sector as a host of names continue to battle a double-whammy of concerns on federal funding and the quality of the education offered for the high tuition charged. Decliners: APOL -2.2%, ESI -6.6%, EDMC -7.6%, STRA -4.4%, DV -1.9%.

I make the same comment about all these schools, though some are better than others. They charge a class of 30 students $3000 each or so to take the course, and pay an online adjunct $1500 total to sit in his living room, probably with his pajamas on, to teach the class. No benefits.

They are not educational institutions. They are student loan delivery devices.
