Exelon (EXC -0.3%) beats Q1 EPS estimates this morning on largely in-line revenue, but net earnings took a hit, down 70% Y/Y, on costs tied to its merger with Constellation Energy. Operating margins narrowed to 7.7% from 24.3%, negatively impacted by poor demand due to milder than-expected weather, and weakness in natural gas prices which forced wholesale power prices lower.
