The chain's take beats the old record-holder, Jurassic World, which passed the $100M mark in 18 days. International ticket sales stand at $36.6M while U.S. theaters have booked $70M in just 11 days (Avatar took 30 days to reach this level).
- During the movie's second weekend, it generated $27.2M gross worldwide, $18.6M from 391 domestic IMAX sites and $8.6M from 282 international locations, beating even the largest opening weekend for a film without China (Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron with $25.2M). Average ticket sales per screen were $48,000.
