Does Low Volume now mean a calm before the storm? Or, a lurking rocket before its launch? August could be tricky. I recall the deadening signals of August 1987 before the horrific crash of 1987. And the August low of the 1982 recession. On the other hand, would it be a Real Bull coming out of the fence? My hunch is that the next couple of months, September and October would tell the story. Just a hunch.

I'm betting on the storm of the century with all hatches battened down and no port safe for entry. Of course that depends on how much the Administration and GS are willing to throw at the wall street traders in order to keep the good news flowing.

More than just a hunch. Sounds like the call of a seasoned veteran who's been through a few storms.

Sept/Oct is almost here. Most of our panics start this time of the year. Maybe everyone is getting ready.

I noticed that C, BAC, FRE, FNM accounted for about 1.8 billion shares traded today (also there were heavy trading in number of NYSE traded stocks.) So why today's volume for NYSE is about 1.086 billion?

is it price weighted? as the price increase i would think less people would trade it, or become less willing to buy it...still good work from TD
