Dot com bubble, RE bubble and now this consumer discretionary stock bubble .. like Alan Greenspan said in 2007, "we can't improve ourselves" so smart folks like this stiller never learn.

That is a lot of one time selling pressure. If it can get down to 20-22 I might nibble some.

Main problem now is potential for fraud.

And no insiders buying since the plunge (or November, 2011 for that matter). Maybe they did see the warm winter coming after all.

Right, so selling pressure should be much lower soon.

I would say that value investors would get interested but fraud concerns will keep them away until management changes.

he made 66 million USD in February by selling 1 million shares = 66 USD/ share, crashed the stock price. Then came out with unbelievable second quarter results with exceptionally poor lack lustre guidance and now sells 5 million shares to pay 125.5 million USD margin call= 25.1 USD.. The stock price is going down some more. I wonder how many shares he has? Starbucks please buy GMCR and get rid of this poor example of a manager....

I have to give it to him, margin call is a great excuse to unload the stock. Especially since none of the bulls are asking any tough questions. They all assume its a real problem and forced sale
I bet the other execs are going to use similar excuses to sell some more of their stock. It's as if no one noticed the hundreds and hundreds of millions worth of GMCR Stiller and the rest of the management already sold. http://1.usa.gov/IWd7Xd

"The sale brings Stiller’s stake down to about 8.39 million shares, making him the fifth-largest holder, from 13.4 million as of March 27, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Stiller, who was chief executive officer of Green Mountain from 1981 until May 2007, has put about 12.5 million of his Green Mountain shares into margin accounts or pledged them as collateral for at least one loan, according to the company’s latest proxy statement. " They kicked him out.......good stuff finally....

Good news except he has to get down to 1.86M by the end of the year to meet the call according to GMCR.
