- Tribune Publishing (TPUB -1.5%) is parting ways with CEO Jack Griffin and has named Justin Dearborn to replace him.
- Dearborn also joins the board, in what reports described as quick action on the part of the company's new chairman, Michael Ferro, who has made a quick move to solidify control of the company.
- Griffin had trumpeted an investment of $44.4M in the company by Ferro just a few weeks ago, with plans to use funds to expand the company's California presence via a bid for the Orange County Register and Riverside Press-Enterprise.
- Dearborn most recently was CEO of Merge Health Care, which recently sold to IBM for $1B.
