Gabelli's note in defense of its Hold rating on Molycorp (MCP) sounds more like a Buy, despite a slight slide in Q1 earnings. The firm cites several milestones achieved, including the start-up of its new Mill, Flotation Separator, and Paste Tailings Facility at Mountain Pass. While the stock remains speculative, the firm calls MCP "the best vehicle to gain exposure to the rare earth industry.”

REE prices continue to edge higher from the bottoms of March... NEO aquisition complete by end of June +/- adding roughly $120 million per year in profit, ahead of schedule production for Project Phoenix which will triple current Phoenix production, built in buyer for 100% of Phoenix production in NEO, significant relative strength versus the market in the last few days... It's ill-logical for stock to continue downtrend.... Perhaps the massive shorters at JP Morgan finally got their wings clipped with their $2 billion losses.... They better cover before they lose alot more ! JP Morgans "expert analyst" is the only one with a target price lower than current market price.... Wonder why?.... Cause they are short MCP and need to get out. Can anyone say "market manipulaters"? I hope they lose their shirts!
