- Orbital ATK (NYSE:OA) is close to signing a pioneering contract with Intelsat (NYSE:I) to use automated spacecraft to move large telecom satellites that have depleted fuel reserves, keeping them flying while bringing in revenue for an extra few years.
- The tug is designed to use its own propulsion system to maintain an operational altitude of more than 20K miles, then disconnect and move on to rescue several other geriatric satellites during a projected 15-year mission.
