- Olin (NYSE:OLN) says it will close its chlor alkali plant in Henderson, Nev., cutting 100 jobs, as it looks to reduce chlor alkali production capacity, and take a related $95M charge in its Q1 as a result of the restructuring.
- OLN says the plant closure will reduce chlor alkali manufacturing capacity by 153K tons, part of its plans to cut capacity by 433K tons across three locations.
- The Henderson facility will be reconfigured to manufacture bleach and distribute caustic soda and hydrochloric acid.
