- Thought to be the successor to President Rousseff should she be forced from office, Vice-President Michael Temer needs to have impeachment proceedings begun against him, according to a Brazilian Supreme Court justice.
- The charges are over whether he helped doctor budget accounting while part of the Rousseff administration. Another congressional committee is looking at similar charges against Rousseff.

- Although the full court can overturn this decision, Rousseff opponents will now have to consider whether it's a good idea to force her out when Temer may not be able to step in.
