Hasbro charts path for Wizards of the Coast


Hasbro (HAS +1.3%announces it hired a Microsoft executive to replace the resigning Greg Leeds as the President of Wizards of the Coast.

Chris Cocks will take over the gaming publisher subsidiary purchased by Hasbro for $325M in 1999. The most well-known WoC brands are Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Duel Masters.

Job postings on the Wizards of Coast website seem to tip off that the company is interested in building out its premier play and e-sports business.
