Verizon, unions to return to the bargaining table

• Following a meeting with the U.S. Labor Secretary Thomas Perez, Verizon (NYSE:VZ) management and the unions representing the company's 39K East Coast workers on strike have agreed to resume negotiations tomorrow.
• The employees walked out on April 13, after having failed to reach an agreement on a new labor contract over issues including healthcare, moving positions offshore, and temporary job relocations.
