    Well, if you've been a Penney's shopper for awhile and see how drastically the stores have changed it is sad. Morale is terrible and the atmosphere is negative. Customers are few and far between and not buying. The "Fair and Square" pricing is not what it's been promoted as. Better prices are available elsewhere. Brands have been cut back or eliminated, further alienating shoppers. Seniors, a big portion of Penney's core customer base are fleeing in droves as it is obvious by the merchandise offered their business is either taken for granted and that the CEO is targeting in a big way a younger crowd with brands and merchandise seniors are not interested in. Retailers never learn lessons from past retail failures. This is the worst possible time to "transform" J C Penney's pricing philosophy. The stores I've been to are badly dated and in need of a major overhaul. Penney's core customers are not Apple store customers. They're apples and oranges. What a wonderful company J C Penney's once was. In all due respect to Mr. Johnson, in my opinion he was not a good choice to head up this company. If he hasn't heard, there is an opening for a CEO at Best Buy, a much better fit.
