- Time Inc. (TIME +1%) has launched its Sports Illustrated-branded TV/digital networks across Asia, the result of a partnership it struck last winter with All Sports Network.
- Sports Illustrated and Sports Illustrated 2 have begun broadcasts across 20 pay TV operators in 12 countries.
- In February, the company partnered with ASN to rebrand a pair of channels that would have a heavy mix of event coverage (including exclusives like the Super Bowl and March Madness) along with original video from the SI brands.
- Meanwhile, Time also launched "Instant," a new mobile video brand focusing on digital celebrities ("the new famous," according to Time) -- the newest in a string of digital acquisitions and moves that are reshaping the company's brand portfolio online.
