- GoDaddy (NYSE:GDDY -4.1%) has agreed to buy small-business-focused software maker FreedomVoice, for $42M in cash and up to $5M in milestone payments.
- FreedomVoice has a product suite designed for small-business communication, including cloud-based phone services and enterprise-grade voice over IP.
- The company's CEO, Eric Thomas, will become Telephony Revenue and Integration Officer at GoDaddy.
- Meanwhile, GoDaddy's new Telephony business unit will be led by Intuit veteran Barry Saik.
