Appeals court upholds dismissal of Spirit Aero case

• A federal appeals court says shareholders failed to show that Spirit AeroSystems (SPR -1.4%) and four of its executives lied about three manufacturing contracts that resulted in losses of $434.6M in 2012.
• While the size of the loss is "undoubtedly significant," the court ruled there was no material misrepresentations or omissions.
