- Accenture (NYSE:ACN) says its CEO Pierre Nanterme has been diagnosed with colon cancer, and is now recovering from surgery.
- He'll still be actively involved in day-to-day operations, he says in a company 8-K.
- "I am pleased to report that I have already had surgery, which went very well," Nanterme writes in a letter to colleages, clients and shareholders. "I will now move to the next phase of my treatment. I have been advised by my doctors that I will be able to stay actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the company throughout this process. I will, however, reduce my travel during the treatment period, which is expected to be a few months."
- Nanterme has been CEO since 2011; he joined the company in 1983.
