Starbucks (SBUX +0.3%) hits a bit of a speed bump in its grand plans to offer beer and wine at select stores across the U.S. after it is forced to withdraw its liquor license application in a Colorado town due to resistance from community leaders. At the heart of the matter, parents don't want to have to ban local Starbucks as a teenage hangout.

    I think it is kind of a dumb idea. In a lot of places there are restrictions on minors being in places that serve liquor.
