Amplify Snack Brands acquires Tyrrells

• Amplify Snack Brands (BETR) announces acquired global snack foods seller Tyrrells for £300M ($391.64M). The deal sees Tyrrells’ current owner, Investcorp, and members of the Tyrrells management team receive approximately £278M in cash and approximately 2.1M shares of Amplify’s common stock.
• Amplify expects to close the transaction by the end of the Q3. The acquisition is anticipated to be accretive to both the company’s 2017 and 2018 EPS.
• Under the terms of the transaction agreement, Tyrrells will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amplify.
