Amidst hopes that Yahoo's (YHOO) latest management/board shakeup will spark a turnaround, Gizmodo's Mat Honan provides an in-depth look at how Yahoo's culture wrecked Flickr, once one of its hottest properties. Among other things, Yahoo obsessed over Flickr's database while ignoring its community, didn't provide needed social networking capabilities, and failed to build compelling mobile apps.     Yahoo has become tabloid fodder over the years. The stories are aimed at an audience that I am unable to recognize. The writing is sub-par and filled with errors.

     

    The entire company has a long way to go to regain any respect, in my opinion.
