Samsung Electronics reportedly readying for major 64-layer 3D NAND production

• The Asian Nikkei Review has Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) manufacturing 64-layer memory cells at facilities in both Pyeongtaek, South Korea and Xi’an, China within the year.
• Samsung maintains position as the market leader in NAND flash and DRAM memory, followed by Toshiba (OTCPK:TOSBF), which plans to scale production on 64-layer chips in H1 2017.
