China reaches deal with Peru to expand Toromocho copper mine

• Aluminum Corp. of China (NYSE:ACH) says it reached a preliminary agreement with Peru's government to expand the Toromocho copper mine, China's biggest overseas copper project.
• The mine produced 31.4K metric tons of copper and 5.5K metric tons of zinc during Q1, but has faced problems concerning environmental contamination and strikes by workers demanding higher wages.
