Cable & Wireless names Sinclair to lead Caribbean ops

• Garfield Sinclair has been named president of the Caribbean for Cable & Wireless Communications, acquired earlier this year by Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA).
• A Jamaican national, Sinclair will have responsibility for operations in 15 territories, including Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados.
• That move's effective Jan. 1, and Sinclair will continue to oversee the Jamaica business directly until new leadership is appointed there later in the coming year.
• The business recently named John Reid its CEO.
