Delta Air Lines cancels Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner order inherited through Northwest Airlines merger

• Valued at approximately $4B, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) and Boeing (NYSE:BA) have agreed to terminate the deal for 18 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
• On Delta's order book since 2008, when the company merged with Northwest Airlines, rejection of the purchase by Delta comes as expected.
