Telefonica makes e-Sports move with ESL partnership

• Telefonica (NYSE:TEF) has become the latest to partner with ESL, taking a step into e-Sports (the "sport of the 21st century") to diversify its business.
• It's pursuing an "electronic gaming ecosystem" through its Spanish brand Movistar, with exclusive content and social networks built around games and tournaments.
• Movistar will establish an e-Sports channel for IPTV and DTS platforms, and Movistar Stadium will broadcast a weekly magazine.
