- Mortgage rates rose for the first time after three straight weeks of decline, according to Freddie Mac's latest weekly survey.
- The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 4.19% for the week ending Jan. 26, up from 4.09% in the previous week, and the 15-year fixed averaged 3.40%, vs. 3.34% a week earlier.
- A year ago at this time, the 30-year and 15-year fixed rates averaged a respective 3.79% and 3.07%.
